FAQ

What is a relatable?

A relatable is a short explanation of one subject in terms of another, for example Quantum physics in terms of a plumber. Each approved relatable has its own page and web address.

Is it free?

Yes. Browsing and sharing are free and unlimited for everyone. A free account lets you make a limited number of new relatables each day, vote and react. We may introduce a paid plan for heavy users in future; you can join the waitlist when you reach your daily limit.

Who writes the relatables?

An AI language model writes them from a fixed brief, and a person reviews each one before it is published. Every page is labelled as AI-generated. See how it works.

Can I trust what a relatable says?

Treat a relatable as a memorable starting point, not a textbook. AI can make mistakes, and analogies always simplify. Every relatable ends with a line on where the comparison breaks down. If you spot an error, use the “Flag this relatable” button.

Why was my request refused?

We do not make relatables about hateful, sexual or harmful topics, real tragedies, private individuals, or lenses that describe a painful personal circumstance. Requests that try to give the AI instructions are also refused. Try rephrasing, or use a different lens.

Why can’t I see my new relatable in the drop-downs?

New relatables wait for review. You can open yours from your account straight away, and it appears in the drop-downs, the leaderboard and search engines once it has been approved.

Do I need an account?

To browse, no. To make a relatable, vote or react, yes, and you need to confirm your email address first. We send a link when you join. An account keeps your relatables, likes, dislikes and reactions together, gives you a public profile if you want one, and puts you on the leaderboard.

Can I vote on my own relatable?

No. This keeps the votes and the leaderboard fair.

Can I upload a profile picture?

Yes, from your account. We crop it to a square and re-save it at a small size. Pictures must follow the terms; we remove any that do not.

How do I change or delete my account?

Open your account. You can hide your username and picture from the leaderboard and public profile, or delete your account, votes, reactions and picture permanently.

I forgot my password

Use the reset page. We email a link that works for one hour.

How do I get a relatable removed?

Flag it, or contact us with the link and the reason. See our editorial policy for how we handle removals and corrections.

Can I share a relatable?

Yes. Every relatable page has share buttons for WhatsApp, X, Facebook, Reddit and email, a copy-link button, and your device’s own share menu where it is available.
