Grey's anatomy in terms of The Solar System
Grey's Anatomy is just like our solar system because everyone is spinning around a very bright star.
The main hospital is like the hot Sun in the middle of space. All the doctors are like little planets travelling in circles around it. Meredith Grey is like the Earth, because she is the one we follow the most as she zooms through her day. The other doctors, like interns or bosses, are like Mercury or Mars, all moving along their own paths, sometimes bumping into each other or getting very close.
Just like in space, things can get messy when gravity pulls everyone together. When doctors fall in love or have a big argument, it is like two planets having a crash. They call these accidents drama, but it is really just space rocks bumping into each other at high speeds. Some doctors are like cold, far away planets, while others are like big, shiny gas giants who talk very loudly all the time.
Even though it seems like they have lots of space, they are all squashed into the same little orbit. They spend all day running down long, shiny hallways instead of floating in the dark. It is a very busy system, and sometimes a new doctor arrives like a shiny comet zooming in from the back of the room to change everything.
Where the analogy breaks downThe solar system is mostly empty space, but the hospital is far too crowded.
