Rangers fc in terms of Londons burning
Did you know that Rangers FC and the fire in London are actually quite a lot like each other?
Rangers FC is a big football club in Glasgow that has been around for a very long time. Just like the great fire of London started in a tiny bakery on Pudding Lane, the club started when some boys met at a park in 1872. The fire spread very fast because the houses in London were made of wood and stood close together. Rangers spread their fame across the city because they kept winning matches and getting more fans who loved wearing their blue shirts.
Once the fire started, it burned through all the streets and could not be stopped for days. Rangers fans are just like that fire because they are everywhere you look. They fill up the stadiums and make a very loud noise that you can hear for miles. When the team scores a goal, the whole place erupts with cheering. It feels just as big and busy as a giant fire engine rushing through the middle of London with its lights flashing and its bell ringing.
The fire ended when the wind stopped and the houses were gone, but Rangers are still going strong today. They have a big stadium called Ibrox where thousands of people go to watch them play. The players run around the pitch trying to score goals just like sparks flying through the night sky. Whether it is a sunny afternoon or a dark winter night, the blue supporters keep the spirit of the club burning bright for everyone to see.
Where the analogy breaks downA football club does not actually destroy any buildings.
